Thanksgiving Eve Band at Sandy Ridge

This Wednesday Night We Welcome You to Join The Divots Acoustic Rock Band at Sandy Ridge Vineyards.

The Divots are a three-piece acoustic rock band playing classic rock, oldies, party rock and acoustic rock. They are headquartered in the Wakeman/Norwalk/New London/Huron area of North-Central Ohio.

Their Facebook bio states: We formed in late 2010 unofficially when we came together without practicing to play a benefit for which the entertainment had backed out at the last minute. Tad plays with another act so, playing from his playlist, we pulled it off with very minor hitches. In the Spring of 2011, Mel asked if we could join forces once again for a benefit for the youth program at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Norwalk, Ohio. This time, we got together several times and worked up set lists and played, though without a name yet as we had not officially joined together as a band. Soon thereafter, the very smart folks at Eagle Creek asked us to perform for 2 of their “Social Nights” during the summer of 2011. We got together for several more practices, rehearsals and meetings, developed a song list and The Divots were born. We tossed around several names but since our beginnings were rooted at Eagle Creek, we settled on a golf-themed moniker. We initially entertained Chip Shot and The Divots but feared it was too lengthy and settled on The Divots.
